By Metro

The Savoy Suites is a quick trip from the Woodley Park-Zoo Metro stop on the Red Line. We offer complimentary shuttle service to and from this Metro stop. Call our toll-free number, 800-944-5377, for our daily Metro Shuttle schedule.

METRO DIRECTIONS FROM UNION STATION (AMTRAK

  • Proceed to the Metro Station from Amtrak trains (Metro is in the same building and you don’t have to exit Union Station.)
  • Buy a fare card for each passenger* (Your one-way fare from Union Station to Woodley Park-Zoo will be about $1.30 during peak times and $1.20 at all other times and the trip is about 10 minutes).
  • Board a RED LINE train in the direction of “SHADY GROVE” or “GROSVENOR”.
  • Get off the train at the Woodley Park-Zoo Station.
  • Exit the station at the 24th Street exit. Our shuttle will pick you up at the entrance of the station.

*You will need a magnetically coded fare card to ride. EACH passenger must have one. Fare cards can be purchased at any Metro Station. Fare card machines accept $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills but give change in coins ONLY and the maximum change returned is $4.95. Some fare card machines also accept credit cards. Prices are subject to change.

METRO DIRECTIONS FROM REAGAN WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT (DCA)

  • Proceed to Metro Station from baggage claim.
  • Buy a fare card for each passenger* (Your one-way fare from National Airport to Dupont Circle will be about $1.90 during peak times and $1.20 at all other times and the trip is about 26 minutes).
  • Board a YELLOW LINE train in the direction of “MOUNT VERNON SQUARE - UDC.
  • Get off the train at Gallery Place/Chinatown/MCI Center. Do not exit the station.
  • Change to a RED LINE train in the direction of “SHADY GROVE” or “GROSVENOR”.
  • Get off the train at the Woodley Park-Zoo Station.
  • Exit the station at the 24th Street exit. Our shuttle will pick you up at the entrance of the station.

By Plane

The Savoy Suites is accessible from all three Washington-area airports.

  • Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport: About 5 miles, approximately $15* by taxi, or less than $2* by Metro (follow Metro directions, above).
  • Dulles International Airport: About 35 miles, approximately $50* by taxi, or $16* by Washington Flyer to the downtown terminal and then about $5* by taxi to the hotel.
  • Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI): About 40 miles, approximately $25* by pre-arranged ground transportation. Or take Amtrak to Washington Union Station and then take the Metro’s Red Line to Dupont Circle and follow directions above.

By Car

FROM THE NORTH (I-95) AND BWI AIRPORT

  • From BWI Airport, follow signs to I-95 South.
  • Continue on I-95 South to I-495 West toward Silver Spring.
  • Stay on I-495 about 8 miles.
  • Take exit 34 which is Route 355 South / Wisconsin Avenue.
  • Take a LEFT turn at the end of the ramp onto Wisconsin Avenue which is also Route 355 South.
  • Continue on Wisconsin Avenue about 7 miles.
  • Pass the National Cathedral at Massachusetts Avenue.
  • Go 3 blocks to the Savoy Suites Hotel on your LEFT at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue.

FROM THE SOUTH (I-95)

  • Follow I-95 North.
  • At the Capital Beltway take I-395 North toward Washington. In about 5 miles you will pass the Pentagon on your left.
  • Continue about ½ mile to the 14th Street Bridge.
  • Continue onto the bridge.
  • Merge to the LEFT lanes before the end of the bridge. The sign will say “US Route 1 North”. You will come off the bridge onto 14th Street.
  • Continue straight on 14th Street.
  • Take a LEFT on I (Eye) Street.
  • Continue on I Street until it merges with Pennsylvania Avenue (around 20th Street) at Washington Circle.
  • Go ½ way around Washington Circle and continue on Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • Continue on Pennsylvania Avenue which merges onto M Street.
  • Go 6 blocks on M Street.
  • Take a RIGHT onto Wisconsin Avenue.
  • Continue on Wisconsin Avenue about 1 mile to the Savoy Suites Hotel on your RIGHT at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue.

FROM THE EAST (US Route 50)

  • Take US Route 50 (West) toward Washington.
  • Follow signs for New York Avenue.
  • Continue to the end of New York Avenue at 7th Street.
  • Take a RIGHT onto 7th Street.
  • Go 5 blocks on 7th Street.
  • Take a LEFT onto P Street.
  • Continue on P Street to Logan Circle.
  • Go ½ way around Logan Circle and continue on P Street.
  • Continue on P Street to Dupont Circle.
  • Go ½ way around Dupont Circle and continue on P Street.
  • Continue on P Street for about 3 miles through the residential neighborhood of Georgetown.
  • Take a RIGHT onto Wisconsin Avenue.
  • Go 6 blocks to the Savoy Suites Hotel on your RIGHT at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue.

FROM THE WEST (I-66) AND DULLES AIRPORT

  • From Dulles Airport, take the “Dulles Access Road” (NOT THE TOLL ROAD) to I-66 East.
  • From other points west, take I-66 EAST toward Washington.
  • Continue into Washington on I-66. You will see the Kennedy Center on your left.
  • Follow the signs for Constitution Avenue.
  • Continue on Constitution Avenue about 4 blocks and turn LEFT on 20th Street.
  • Go straight on 20th Street about 5 blocks.
  • Take a LEFT onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • Continue on Pennsylvania Avenue to Washington Circle.
  • Go ½ way around Washington Circle and continue on Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • Continue on Pennsylvania Avenue which merges onto M Street.
  • Go 6 blocks on M Street.
  • Take a RIGHT onto Wisconsin Avenue.
  • Continue on Wisconsin Avenue about 1 mile to the Savoy Suites Hotel on your RIGHT at 2505 Wisconsin Avenue.

FROM THE NORTHWEST (I-270)

  • Take I-270 South toward Washington.
  • At the Capitol Beltway, follow I-495 East toward Silver Spring/College Park.
  • Do NOT follow signs that say Washington I-495 West or South.
  • Continue on I-495 about 1 mile.
  • Take exit 34 which is Route 355 South / Wisconsin Avenue.
  • Take a LEFT turn at the end of the ramp onto Wisconsin Avenue which is also Route 355 South.
  • Continue on Wisconsin Avenue about 7 miles.
